Hello! Welcome to Evolution of a Sentient Species, the forum game I run whenever I'm on a forum. A game of making civilizations and races, then watching as they are destroyed in their future sodomy and cancer ridden future. Here's some rules for you nubs that have never played.
You gotta make a race first right? Here's a template I ripped off of another thread because I'm cheap as hell
Race Name: Physical Traits: Diet: Reproductive rate 1-10: Physical type (Humanoid?):
Extremely open ended. If you don't want to get screwed over, include every single thing in the physical traits section. Don't come crying to me if you forgot to add something. I also have the power to reject your applications if it's obvious you're attempting to mod god
The game will take place on planet AF-01, couldn't think of anything more creative This planet has been formed very recently by universe standards, and is but a ball of water, with an atmosphere. Two continents dominate this planet. The Northern continent is large, and is composed of mountains, hills, temperate forest, pine forest, and tundras farther up north. There is a cluster of mountains a bit up north to the center of the continent, with the forest mainly being on the southern part of the continent, pine forest begin appearing more often the farther up north you go, and freezing tundras at the very top. Temperatures here are fairly average, being temperate to freezing cold. To the south is the smaller continent, which is made up of deserts to the west, a mountain range dividing it into east and west, with a massive jungle to the east. Both continents have rivers and lakes, sometimes creating marshy landscapes and wetlands you must be mindful of.
The game is divided into rounds. One round is an in game month. Very simple. A round is when everyone has posted their actions for their species, whether it be war, food gathering, and such. After everyone has posted, one in game month will pass, and I will post the results of all your actions, as well as toss in a few events for my enjoyment.
Two food for every member of your population unless I say otherwise, everyone starts at 50 population, you get to pick where you want to start. I made the description vague, no fancy grids or hexagons. Population will grow every round using this equation. P = FR+C P = New population F = Available food after allocating it to population and actions needing food R = Birth rate C = current population
Every round, each member of your population will consume two units of food. And tech is handled by you beginning to research things, like say you order several members of your race to try to sharpen naturally occurring metal, or research other things. I will decide myself what will happen. Same thing goes for building things. I will decide what happens and what materials you need, as well as how long it will take you.
This is a very open ended game so have fun. By the way, you got until Monday the 9th to submit applications until the game starts. Unlimited spots, but be quick because once we start, no more applications.

Females are about 3'4 and 45 pounds on average. 3) There are psykers in warhammer 40k and that isn't fantasy, and is a million times more ridiculous than mine. Their only ability is to read dreams, which doesn't really affect gameplay and could be backed up scientifically.

Yeah, but do you lay eggs or give live birth? You posted the bare bones of your race. If you want to play, you're going to have my post more than that. Yeah, and my word goes. Diet: Carnivorous, Chestbursters are parasetic (implanted in hosts chest cavity, eat their way out) Reproductive rate 1-10: depends on amount of hosts available. Physical type (Humanoid?): Humanoid-esqe, usually with a tail. Again, refer to my dispatches for more details.
Notes: Does have a hive-mind, but is incapable of evolving weapons, tech, etc. I suggest you either make me a natural hazard or place me on an island.

All applications so far have been rejected, mostly due to lacking information, being bare bones, and relying on factbooks to cover for you. I want to see people actually fill out the application and not half ass it and post a couple details and leave it at that.

Race Name: The Grikeni Physical Traits: A reptilian species that goes through several stages or castes. In the beginning, they mature rapidly from eggs into fearsome, 7-8 foot tall, 250-500 pound warriors called Uul. They are tremendously strong, and have a fanatical worship of the other castes. They are often used as manual labor. Then there are the Hij, who are much smarter and serve as administrators, auxiliary scientists, and generals. Then there are the Huji, basically giant brains who do the main technological advancement and government leading roles. Then there are the female "celestials", who produce the eggs. This is not a hive mind, simply a worship of the higher castes. It does limit the amount of fear the Uul have, but they can still be broken with the right methods. Diet: Carnivorous Reproductive rate 1-10: 9 (Uuls are produced very quickly, only a very select few "elevate" to a higher caste) Physical type (Humanoid?): Humanoid, with reptilian and avian (think evolved raptors) features.

Society Norms? What is their temper? Culture? Biology? Teeth? Eyes? They're cold blooded, right? How fast are they? What is the average life span? Breeding habits?

Eating habits: carnivorous, any meat will do as long as it is not rotting. They regularly eat their dead corpses when in battle. 3. Society norms: What do you mean by that? 4. Uul have a very short temper, except towards Hij, Celestials, and Huji. The rest can control them 5. Culture? They are a very warlike, efficient species. Culture is generally seen as a waste of time 6. As I said, think evolved, humanoid velociraptors, but heavier and perhaps taller 7. Teeth: ^ 8, Eyes are reptilian. Eye color is generally brown 9. Actually, they are warm blooded, a surprise given their reptilian nature. 10. Depends on the caste. Uul and Hij can run around 35-40 KPH for short periods of time. 11. Average life span is 10-20 years for an Uul (combination of devotion to Hij/Huji, great strength, and love of battle/hunting makes them very uncautious. They are often used a manual labor in somwewhat apalling conditions). For Hij, 45 years. Huji can live to 120, and Celestials to 80
